"N-IDS" is a dry desulfurizer developed initially as a catalyst for hydrogen sulfide removal in the urea plant at the Toyama factory of Nissan Chemical Industries, Ltd. (now Nissan Chemical Corporation). Based on its long tradition and accumulated technology, it was commercialized and began sales as a high-performance and economical molded desulfurizer in 1959.
